• X colors have a glossy finish, while XF colors have a flat finish.

• You can thin the paint for airbrushing with Tamiya X-20A Acrylic thinner.

• You can use Items 81521 and 81021 (Tamiya X-21 Flat Base) to make any X-gloss color flat. Just mix equal parts of X-gloss color and flat base.

• You can also thin the paint for airbrushing with Tamiya Lacquer Thinner. This will make the paint dry faster and harder.

• For better results with brush painting, use Tamiya Paint Retarder (item 87114) to avoid brushstrokes and get a smoother finish.
