P-51D "Roto-Finish" Build Log-Our Fall build project

I recently acquired several 1/72 air racer kits (High Planes Models) from an online auction and decided to take on one of the more difficult kits to challenge me. The P-51D “Roto-Finish is designed around N7715C (Race Number 5) as it appeared at Reno in 1972. It was owned by Gunther Balz and had a sprayed aluminum color and looked fast flying or parked!

The kit includes a cast landing bay set and several parts trees that include all of the parts required. I’ll go a little further on this kit and add some more details as I get the build going.
