Our Most Popular Kit This Week-B25 Mitchell

The B-25 Mitchell (Revell 1:48) is the most popular kit this week followed closely by Wing Gundam Proto Zero (Endless Waltz). The B-25 is best remembered by Doolittle’s Raiders. I met Retired Lt. Col. Richard "Dick" Cole, the last veteran of the famous "Doolittle Raid" on Tokyo during World War II, over 2 years ago and his signed lithograph drawing of his B-25 aircraft sits over my desk. He passed away this year (April 9, 2003 at 103 years old. The views of the B-25 launching off the carrier in World War 2 were captured well off the escort ships. This view brings new meaning to short-field takeoff.

The upcoming Midway movie will see a big push for builders wanting to recreate the various battle scenes. There were so many stories in that battle alone to fill many movies or a full television series.
