Guillow's P-40 Warhawk 16.5" Wingspan Balsa Kit# 501
The P-40 Warhawk was an American single-engined, single-seat, all-metal fighter and ground-attack aircraft that first flew in 1938. It was used by the Allied powers in World War II and remained in frontline service until the end of the war. The P-40 earned undying fame with the Flying Tiger squadron (General Claire Chennault’s volunteer group fighting the Japanese in China and Burma). It also saw service in the Middle East where it was used by Britain’s R.A.F and nicknamed the Tomahawk and Kittyhawk.
The kit features the “Laser Cut precision balsa wood parts” for quick builds and is well suited for rubber powered flights.
