1/35 ICM Type G4 Partisanenwagen WWII German Car #35530

$65.00

The 1/35 ICM Type G4 Partisanenwagen WWII German Car #35530 is a highly detailed plastic model kit that recreates a unique and rarely depicted vehicle from World War II. Based on the luxurious Mercedes-Benz G4 (W31), this version represents the Partisanenwagen, a field-modified variant adapted by German forces for use in partisan-occupied territories. Unlike its pre-war parade counterparts, this ruggedized version was stripped of ceremonial finishes and fitted with functional upgrades, including off-road equipment, weapon mounts, and reinforced elements for front-line utility. ICM’s kit features finely molded parts, realistic interior and engine details, and historically accurate modifications that reflect the vehicle’s adaptation for anti-partisan warfare. The 6-wheeled, 3-axle layout, open cab, and military gear make it a compelling build for modelers interested in the lesser-known but operationally significant side of German wartime logistics and reconnaissance. Ideal for diorama settings or standalone display, this kit appeals to both military history enthusiasts and model builders seeking a unique and authentic subject.

The M4A3E8 "Easy Eight" was a smooth-riding horizontal volute spring suspension (HVSS) variant of the Allied workhorse Sherman medium tank. It was an improved threat over predecessors thanks to a more powerful, 76mm gun, and employed a V8 gasoline engine in its welded hull. As perhaps the finest of the Sherman variants it played an important role in the eventual Allied WWII victory, but its service did not end there: When conflict flared again in June 1950, this time on the Korean peninsula, Easy Eights were refurbished and deployed again, taking on enemy T34/85 tanks operated by the Korean People's Army from the invading North, and serving till the armistice of 1953. The distinctive marking pattern shown in the main picture on this page is said to have been employed in an attempt at psychological warfare.
