HMS Rodney fires salvoes at the Bismarck

The Bismarck engaged in a furious battle in the last days. HMS ‘Rodney’ was so close that she was able to fire the shells at point-blank range and a flat trajectory.

This scene captures HMS 'Rodney' (right) firing on the 'Bismarck' (center, obscured by smoke). After 'Bismarck's' main battery was destroyed, the 'Rodney' closed the gap and fired salvoes at extremely close range--less than 2 miles.
