1:350 Scale H.M.S Hood
We now have the Trumpeter 1:350 Scale H.M.S Hood which includes photo-etched parts to help you build a highly detailed model for your mantel.
The H.M.S. Hood represents the pride of the Royal Navy in World War II. The kit includes over 490 pieces and provides details from research and experts from the H.M.S. Hood Association. One of the classic battleship battles occurred between the H.M.S Hood and the German battleship Bismarck.
In September 1940, Hood spent the winter of 1940-41 on patrols in the northern waters around Iceland watching over any attempted breakout by German heavy units. She was thus still employed in May 1941 when Bismarck and Prinz Eugen got through the patrols. Hood and the brand new battleship the Prince of Wales were dispatched to intercept and destroy the German ships before they broke loose on the British convoy routes.
The 1:350 consists of 533 pieces in grey and molded red lower hull. The kit contains 8 sprues, upper & lower hull, 4 deck pieces, waterline plate and display base. Trumpeter also provides decals plus photo-etch ladders, radar, spars and cables. An instruction manual and color painting guidelines are also included.
